Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner:

This specialized wash was developed in conjunction with the tanning industry in Australia; specifically for washing sheepskin. Many detergents will do a good job with wool, but Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner not only washes and disinfects wool, it also conditions leather; keeping it soft and supple.

Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner also contains the natural fungicide and miticide- Tea Tree Oil.

This detergent is specifically formulated to clean, disinfect and condition washable sheepskin.  It kills and will remove mites from all natural fibre products; including sheepskin, wool, fur, and feathers- an important consideration for people with dust mite allergies.

 Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner  contains :

• Tea tree oil ( Melaleuca alternifolia ) - is a natural miticide (effective against dust mites), fungicide and bacteriostat. See Research

• Irgasan DP 300- a residual anti-bacterial that remains in the article after washing; giving ongoing bacterial control. ( see Research )

• A unique blend of surfactants and conditioning agents that lubricate the sheepskin leather and will give an improved  lustre and handle to the wool fibre.

Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner conditions and actually improves the sheepskin leather and wool with repeated use.

It has recently been tested by WRONZ ( Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand). WRONZ found that Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner is effective in killing dust mites and washing with this sheepskin washremoves all dust mite allergens. Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner achieves these results, using the recommended quantity, with a 4- minute wool cycle wash at 33.5 o C.

Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner is biodegradable. Note: Detergents containing enzymes, phosphates, peroxide, alkali or bleach cause irreversible damage to sheepskin leather. Woolskin does not contain any of these.

If you use a regular household detergent to wash a sheepskin, it will cause permanent damage to the leather backing.

Shear Comfort Sheepskin Shampoo & Conditioner is available in a handy 250 mL dispensing container that enables you to measure the exact quantity needed.  There is enough in a bottle to wash a sheepskin 10 times. Also available in 20 mL sachets and a 5.0L container.
